SCAN TO CAD

SCAN TO CAD

LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is a cutting-edge remote sensing technology that uses laser pulses to accurately measure distances between the sensor and the surface of an object. When applied to buildings—using drones, mobile units, or ground-based scanners—LiDAR captures millions of data points to generate a high-precision 3D point cloud. Unlike traditional photography, this point cloud provides a detailed digital representation of the building’s geometry, including walls, roofs, and structural features. The collected data is then imported into specialized software for processing. Our proprietary tool, Scan to CAD, streamlines this process by converting the LiDAR data into a fully structured BIM (Building Information Model).

The BIM model includes not only the building’s geometry but also rich metadata such as materials, dimensions, and performance details. Once complete, the model can be used for various applications such as structural modeling, renovation planning, clash detection, energy analysis, and overall construction management. This end-to-end workflow—from LiDAR scanning to BIM through Scan to CAD—ensures the highest accuracy, efficiency, and smarter decision-making for architectural, engineering, and construction professionals.
